On June 27, 2023, in Ngãi Giao town, Châu Đức district, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu province, over 100 patients had the opportunity to receive free eye examinations and medication.

SMART TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE FOR THE VISUALLY-IMPAIRED IN HO CHI MINH CITY
On the morning of June 26, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives from MSD Vietnam, United Way Worldwide, and Shinhan Financial Group Hope Foundation participated in a technology application experience to support visually impaired individuals. This activity was part of the Shinhan Future Solution project – Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam 2022.
CHILDREN FESTIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY
Nearly 300 children from 9 shelters/charitable schools in Ho Chi Minh City participated in the event with the theme “Summer Bonding – Summer Fun for Children.”
FIELD TRIP TO THE WATER AMBASSADOR PROJECT IN HOA BINH
On June 24th, MSD – United Way Vietnam and the Center for Research on Initiative for Community Development (RIC) visited Sung hamlet, Da Bac, Hoa Binh, as part of the Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam 2022 project.
“WHITE CANE – LIGHT HOPE” PROJECT LAUNCHING CEREMONY
MSD – United Way Vietnam organized the launching ceremony of the “White Cane – Light Hope” project. The project’s launch marks the beginning of activities involving the distribution of white canes along with support in terms of medical insurance, nutrition, braille textbooks, and training programs on the use of white canes for visually impaired children and youth.
VIETNAM LIVING LAB
The Vietnam Living Lab is the user-centered open innovation ecosystem that started with investment from Shinhan S2 Bridge-Vietnam. We encourage the creation of bold new solutions for issues of education and youth opportunities, income mobility, and environmental health in Vietnam.
The program aims to provide entrepreneurs with the critical resources- funding, mentorship, and community connections – to accelerate the growth and stability of their innovative ventures. In addition, we help access to resources of the social issues profile, legal advice, and impact evaluation.
Community partners and citizens work with tech startups by giving inputs in creating social value and advance technology. Youth United Vietnam (YVL), a group of qualified young people stimulate entrepreneurship by participating as youth supporters and reporters.

In partnership with Overflow, we help students with visual impairment actively engage in learning activities at school by using modern braille and magnifier.
